Panel 1:
Matt and Pauline turn their backs to Tony and Mistaire in order to discuss them more privately.
Matt: So like I said, Tony and whatsername can fly!
Pauline: Can they do anything else?
Matt: I dunno.
Panel 2:
Pauline gives Matt a look. Y'know, the parental 'what were you thinking' look.
Pauline: Where do they get their powers from?
Matt: I dunno.
Pauline: Did you explain to them why they're here?
Matt: Nope!
Pauline: Did you think ANY of this out in advance?
Matt: Or course not!
Panel 3:
Pauline rubs her temples.
Pauline: Child, you give me migranes.
Panel 4:
Mistaire and Tony are still waiting for someone to talk to them.
Mistaire: Ex-CUSE me.
Panel 5:
Pauline and Matt turn towards Tony and Mistaire. Pauline glares at Matt, who doesn't seem to care.
Pauline: You're going to have to forgive Matt, he's...well, he's stupid.
Matt: Yo!
Panel 6:
Pauline stands casually with her hands jammed into her hoodie pocket.
Pauline: I'll explain to you both while you're here, but first...
Panel 7:
Pauline holds up a fist sternly.
Pauline: You must fight me!




That last panel is intentionally goofy. Karate Time! And again, the middle panels here really please me. Mistaire's sass, and the situation she's reacting to, really come together good, and the timing works nicely. The sparse panel indicates a lull, and although Pauline is speaking she's not grabbing any attention. Then in comes big sassy Mistaire bringing the conversation back on track. Good stuff.
